Uh oh

4 Nov

I had ovarian pain ALL night last night!! I am so upset, the donor vials are even supposed to arrive until this Thursday and I have no idea what is going on. I don’t usually have ovarian pain unless I ovulate…but this was only CD 6 and I was still spotting from the very end of AF! I did ovulate WAY early (compared to what is normal for me) last month…about 5 days early to be exact. But this is obscene! I jumped out of bed to go and take one of the Target brand ovulation test sticks I had left over, but it came out neg and then neg again this morning. Not a little negative either – there was pretty much no line at all. I was expecting to start using my new fertility monitor today too (and was planning on panicking if it indicated “high” or “peak” fertility) but it turns out I set the damn thing wrong and now I have to wait until tomorrow for it to ask for a stick! Arrrrghhh. I am so upset I could just cry.

The earliest I have ever ovulated was CD 12 or 13 and the latest was CD 19…I have been keeping track for a year and a half now. BTW.

Wouldn’t that just figure that I would ovulate at a completely strange time and totally miss my first DI!? Has anyone ever heard of ovulation on day 6 while still spotting? Anyone know if there is any way to test for ovulation after it has already occurred? I try to temp but have insomnia and so its pretty worthless for me, though its hasn’t gone up or down since AF started.

Alright, its been four hours so I am going to go POS again. Yes, I am obsessed. =(

I hear you about obsessing (my husband has gotten irritated more than once). The fertility monitor has to be set during the time period you want it to ask you to test. For example, if you want to test at 6am you have to set it around 6am (there is a 4 hour windor). I have messed that up before, and it was asking me at 4pm.

I doubt you’re ovulating yet. Have you read “Taking Charge of Your Fertility”? If not, I totally recommend it because it tells you all about the various aches, pains, and CM that we typically experience but misinterpret. Although, I’m hardly the expert on that sort of thing.

Try not to worry to much, it is doubtful that you are ovulating this early since you never have before.

I agree with Trace. I really doubt your ovulating. When you first start on this journey, you feel every little thing going on in your body. I have twinges I never knew I had. I feel everything in my body. If I were a betting woman, I’d bet my life savings you’re not ovulating. If you really want to know, you can get a progesterone draw to see. That would tell you for sure. Keep us posted!

I understand how you feel completely! I ovulated on CD 9 this time, AF had only been gone 3 days. But if the OPKs are still negative and your temps haven’t gone up, you still have a great chance. Hang in there!!
