Broken Record

1 Jun

Yeah, more bleeding, more ER. Babies are still fine, cervix is still closed. I won’t even bother to tell the story this time around, you all know it by now. lol

I’m starting to calm down about it a bit now though. The doctors (both in the ER and my OB) are so nice and so understanding. They told Hubby and I over and over last night that it looked as though this was just not going to be a text book pregnancy and that I would likely continue to have episodes like this, but that that didn’t mean that it wouldn’t work out just fine in the end. They said that anytime we felt anxious and needed some reassurance that we could come in when ever we wanted and that we were never bothering them. The ER doctor did mention that it could be placenta previa, but they did not check for that yet. I suppose it wouldn’t make much difference if they did…there is nothing that we could do about it besides what we are already doing.

They even brought a special ultrasound into the room last night so that we could look at the babies, for no other reason that to ease our minds. How awesome is that!? They were moving all around in there – SO cute! I think we have one boy and one girl, but that’s based on nothing more than my squinting at the ultrasound screen and obsessively trying to check out the bean’s nether regions. =)

So, in spite of myself, I am starting to feel a tiny bit optimistic about this pregnancy (God help me). Not optimistic enough to create a baby registry or start shopping yet though…I’m going to wait until I get past the 24 week mark for that I think. Only 10 weeks to go…

That’s all for now, the Terbutaline is still making me miserable, I’m getting used to it little by little, but it’s still hard to type, read, etc because my hands shake so badly.

I know I don’t ever comment but I’m always checking in to see how your pregnancy is going. I am so happy for your good news! Just 10 more weeks and the shopping can begin! I wish you smooth sailing for remaining months…congratulations!

I am SO glad they brought in the machine so you could have a peek at the babies! And they are right — many a woman has bled throughout a prgnancy that produced healthy babies. This could still be shedding of lining [?] from the Angel who now with Granie.

I am rooting for you and them. Thanks for the update — I think about you lots, and remembered you specifically at Mass yesterday.

Goodness…these babies are going to keep you on your toes. 🙂

I pray for you daily…I hope you’re feeling okay, despite the bleeding.

    Take it easy, k??

    *HUGS*

I’m sorry you are still going through this. I hope your babies quiet down soon and give you a break. It sounds like your medical team is on top of things and doing everything they can to ease your mind.

I also read your post about your husband’s surgery next week and want to wish you both all the best for a smooth procedure and recovery. Great news about him getting bumped to the top of the kidney transplant list!!

Keeping you, your husband, and your babies in my thoughts and prayers.

Glad that things are still moving along for you although the recurrent bleeding would be enough to make any person crazy. As far as the previa there wouldn’t be a lot they could do about it but at least they would know so that if the bleeding continues they know why. How great to get a little look inside and hope that the terbutaline isn’t too horrible in the weeks to come.

I’ll keep you and your two babes in my thoughts and prayers. I really hope that this pregnancy smooths out for you and won’t continue to be quite as hair raising. I’ll also keep your husband in my prayers for this week’s surgery and also for his transplant in September.

Oh lala, we need my zamboni man to come smooth out our rides, don’t we? Thanks for checkig in and saying hi even when you must be feeling so miserable. If I could send you a 1000 hugs I would. I’m glad the babies are doing well, and things are still moving along. So what they say about the terbutaline is true, huh? I’ve heard it can be miserable to take. You poor thing! I hope you don’t need a cerclage also. But I’ll take some good notes for you in case you do. Did they say they were going to do one for sure? Or are they just monitoring your cervix and doing it if it shortens? Hopefully your’s will be described like a funny porn movie, long and strong. Us UUers (unicornuate uterus girls) always hope for a long and strong cervix, hehe. Someone once made the porn reference on the yahoo UU board so now we always joke about it. That’s were I got the bizarre reference. Anyways, I’ll be your bed rest buddy okay? Sending some of those hugs to ya girl!

God, this sounds rough. It sounds like you’re taking it all in stride, but I’m definitely feeling for you.

I am so glad to hear the babyies are doing well. I also noticed that you are out of your first trimester. That has to bring some comfort. It must be so neat to see your two little ones on an ultrasound. Keep hanging in there.

I have a friend who had twins that had LOADS of bleeding throughout her pregnancy – babies are totally fine (and in kindergarden now). Not saying it wasn’t stressful – but it happens! so glad to hear they are doing well.
